The Commonwealth of Kentucky has contacted the Crusade office to report that the WHAS Crusade for Children license plate will be available September 6, 2016.
Every WHAS Crusade for Children license plate registration donates $10 to help children with special needs.

Here’s what you do:
1. You’ll receive a post card from the state (if you filled out a form before).
2. Take that post card to the County Clerk’s office.
3. Take your registration and proof of insurance to the County Clerk’s office.
4. Take your current license plate to the County Clerk’s office.

Lexington area agencies get Crusade support
WHAS Crusade for Children CEO Dawn Lee and Crusade Board member Dr. Greg Earwood met with representatives from agencies and schools in the Lexington area on August 24, 2016. At a luncheon,Lee announced the grants coming to those agencies and schools. The funding will be used to help children with special needs.

2017 LOUISVILLE TRIPLE CROWN OF RUNNINGSM
Louisville, KY (August 23, 2016) – The Louisville Triple Crown of Running (LTCOR) today announced that the Louisville-based franchisee of Planet Fitness has signed on as the presenting sponsor of the popular three-race series. The Planet Fitness franchise led by brothers David and Rick Kueber owns and operates 25 Planet Fitness clubs in five states, including eight area clubs in Louisville and southern Indiana.

As part of the sponsorship, all Louisville-area Planet Fitness clubs will offer a training program beginning this fall, and help pay the entry fee for members who want to walk or run the events for the first time.

Braille books for children
The WHAS Crusade for Children sometimes brings together unusual partners to help youngsters with special needs. Case in point: the Crusade, the American Printing House for the Blind and the Kentucky Correctional Institute for Women have combined efforts to bring Braille books to children with sight issues.
